I just ordered Swingtown, what is the first season, which is just the entire series, from Amazon. It was only $25. I have been watching this show late at night on Universal HD. I love this show. I believe had it been on Showtime it would have stood a better chance then CBS. I think it was one of the best written and acted shows on TV in a long time. They got a little in the swinging, but never really dove right in. Had it been on cable we would have seen a lot more.

I wish this would have been renewed for another season. I think too many times networks just cancel things and not give it a chance. I heard Mary Tyler Moore say once, that if the MAry Tyler Moore show was on today it probably would have been canceled. Which would be a travesty.

So, now I”ll be able to watch the show anytime I want. I can’t wait to get it! Here are a few more pics of the show

I found the best new ice cream. Kroger had one sale Breyer’s and I love the Mint Chocolate Chip. But when I got to the store the Mint Chocolate Chip was out! So I had to figure out what to get. I saw this and thought, hmmm that sounds good. I loved it. The ice cream is white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. The flavors mix well together. I love the taste of the White chocolate. If you haven’t tried it I suggest you do if you love chocolate! It’s YUMMY

Marketing jobs

Today I met with two other marketing job hunters. It was beneficial because we are all in separate areas of marketing and none of us have had any luck in the job hunting arena. So it was good to have a bitch session and be able to talk to who understands whats going on. The best thing is we are going to meet up on a regular basis.

As you can see by the graph, marketing jobs fell big last year and now is slowly recovering. Not as fast as we want but still, not fast enough! Maybe before the end of Aug I will have a job! Keep your fingers crossed!

I was on twitter the other day and I’m following @goutsolutions and they tweeted that B Complex and Vitamin E are good at controlling gout. So I went to the Walgreen’s today and got both. I have taken both and we’ll see what the results are. But hell it can’t hurt. I had an attack the other day and the nasty drugs I have to take to get rid of it. I’m all for taking vitamins. But, DAMN vitamins are expensive. Walgreen’s had buy one get one free and also the Walmart has them a bit cheaper. I”ll keep you updated on the progress and how this works. I hope it does some good.

I haven’t blogged I”ve been building my underwear empire. I have had fun and I hope the blogging and twitter/social media will pay off for me soon! I’ll keep you posted on the job front. So far nothing. Looks like I’ll be a fabulous temp soon! OH JOY!

Today I’m not really in the mood to do anything. I’m still on the verge of starting my own consulting service for social media for small to midsized businesses. But so far there is nothing on the employment front. It’s picking up but not to where I want it to be.

I guess the countless months of being home are wearing on me. I really want to be back to work but nothing to go to yet. I have been working on the underwear blog and hope that will give me some much needed income. I need to grow the visitors. We have decent content, post often and have a podcast so you think we’d have more people. And then my Airport

Base station is still giving me fits. I went to the Apple snack store to exchange it but it’s working better but the wireless is really slow. So I think there maybe something going on with the computer. I’m not sure but I have another appointment with the Genius Bar tomorrow to check it all out. Its’ just annoying me and the wireless is VERY slow. But they are very friendly.

I’m going to take a nap I think. It’s one of those days.
