Actor's Express and My Week

My week this week was a busy one. I had a lot going on, but the highlights are an hiking on Tuesday, Open house and a musical on Thursday.
Well I am going to do a video podcast about hiking. The weather finally cleared up some. And I actually got to go hiking. And let me tell you it kicked my ass. I was done over 3/4 the way through. I took plenty of pictures and video for the podcast. I hope to go again but this week has sucked with the rain. And next week is busy as well. I haven’t had too many networking events lately, but this next week i have about 6 and they are all on the same day. So I”m having to pick and choose and I will update you on what I choose
Then Wed, I recovered from the hiking, it makes my hips hurt when I go, I think it’s an early form of arthritis. After any really strenuous exercise I hurt in my knees and hips for a few days after. It sucks, but I guess it’s the price of getting old.
Thursday was the busy day, I got an email one of the staffing companies in the area was doing an open house for marketing people. I figured what the hell I’ll go. I went and got there at 1:30 PM, it started at 1 PM. I should have known to get there early, and there were approximately 40 people in front of me, and prob 40 after me when I left. I got to speak to a recruiter and it seems promising there, so there maybe something down the pike from them soon! I will keep you posted.
I went over to Lenox Mall and ate a late lunch and killed sometime. I got to catch up on my podcasts and got a copy of the Atlanta Business Chronicle for some job hunting. Which I didn’t see much, but I did see where a few marketing firms got some new business so I will have to follow up with that. Then I went the theater. I saw a few people I haven’t seen in a while. It was great catching up with the.
The musical was Zanna Don’t at Actors Express, which is a musical set in a gay world and Zanna, the main character sets everyone up for love. It reminded me of High School Musical but gay, like that’s not an oxymoron. The funny thing is one of the actors I have gone out with. So it was very cool. He can sing really well. Although I didn’t like the ending, it was a good musical and if you’re in Atlanta, go check it out. I really want to go to more theater and will try to do that when I get a job.
This weekend has been low key, I did some grocery shopping and then tomorrow going to see Star Trek again and recording a podcast with some special co hosts! Just wait. I need to work on the video podcast as well.http://terminallysingle.net/corner/gooddevilh.jpg
