New Gout Drug!

Friday February 13th, the FDA approved a new drug called Febuxostat. The drug is supposed to be 40% better at reducing uric acid. Uric Acid is the cause of gout, when it builds up in the blood stream, and when the body cools it forms sharp needle like crystals in the joints.

It sucks let me tell you, I will have to find out how much the drug costs and when it will be on the market. This is good news, i have had massive attacks and its part of the stress of money, no job, job hunting and just stress in general.

I hope it will be out soon and work as promised! The drug at higher doses had elevated risk of stroke and heart attack, but the lower doses approved didn’t pose that risk!http://terminallysingle.net/corner/gooddevilh.jpg
