Pet Shop Boys New DVD/CD

Stay tuned, there appears to be an issue with the new Wordpress and embedding videos, NICE

Demons – BBC does it right

I must share one of the new shows I am loving. It’s Demons on BBC, and we have it on BBC America. It’s premise is Luke is the Grand Son of the infamous Van Helsing. His father was killed and one of his fathers friends comes back to get him to vanquish the world of evil. He is joined by Mina Harker, who is blind but can see things, yeah it’s weird. She see’s visions when she touches something. The last person is his friend Ruby who is after Luke to date. You gotta throw in some sexual tension somewhere.

So far they have aired 4 of the six shows. I hope we get to see more of the show. The one thing  I think is lacking on BBC America is they need to show more Brittish shows over here, not just the popular ones that we all know, granted I want them to keep showing Dr. Who, but some other good shows they have, comedies and dramas. So we’ll see!

SNL Takes on the Late Night Wars

Gay Sci Fi Blog

So, I”m thinking of starting a gay sci-fi blog. I have really been getting back into sic-fi. With my refound love of Doctor Who. I have really loved watching the new series. Which I need to own on DVD Soon. Then I have bought the entire Farscape series on DVD.

I know what you are thinking, you go, but Tim you don’t update this blog. you are CORRECT! I need to do that, but the Underwear News Briefs and professional blog, I’m drained by the time it comes to the personal one. I need to do it more then I do. I honestly love blogging and it’s kinda therapeutic.

I also want to start a sci-fi blog to meet more gay fans. Granted I have a thing for the nerd gay boys, I”m very nerdy myself, but I have always hit it off it them rather then the jock boys. It would be so cool to meet more guys in Atlanta that are into it. I have a few but I would love more.

I think I may start blogging here before i officially launch it, or give it a trial run as well as everything else. If your’e interested in the blog nit me up!

A Sordid Affair: An evening with Del Shores and the Cast of Sordid Lives

Yesterday,  I really got a chance to do something fun. I got to see the “A Sordid Affair” by none other then the incredible Del Shores. I have worked with Del through my other blog Underwear News Briefs. It was a great day!

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The lights went down and Lavonda come out from the back of the theater talking on the cell phone. It was really great, and she talked to the Ghost of Tammy Wynette. She said that Lavonda had to rescue Brother Boy from the evil clutches of Bubba D. LIcious.

Then, Georgette Jones came out and sang. The daughter of Tammy and George Jones. I learned something interesting, when you hear on the show the songs by Tammy, they were actually being sung by Georgette Jones. That is amazing. Del also told us that Tammy’s Manager came to see the play, and loved it and asked Del for a script to take to Tammy. Del said he kinda freaked out, and then got a call from Tammy, who loved the script, and invited him to Nashville for the CMA’s.

Also, I think before this, Juanita came out and brought the house down. Everyone loves Juanita. Del then came out and spoke. Its really amazing about his live and he told many stories. Too many to go into now. if this comes to your town you MUST go.

Then we had a 20 minute intermission and came back to more fun. Lavonda started out the show again, and then we heard more signing by Georgette and she really is amazing. I told her at the meet and greet she’s awesome. Then Del Spoke more and Jason came out and sang one of his songs. The very last thing was Dr. Eve and Wardell singing “He can Fuck you up” OMG I have to find this song.

Then the show was over. I know I write some riveting blog entries. LOL. We then got to stay for the meet and greet. I have to say the cast is awesome. All very friendly, we got to talk to Ann Walker aka Lavonda for a while. She really is awesome. I love her on the show and he’s been my favorite. I have pics as you can see with most of them.

It was a great night and get the show and movie if you haven’t seen either. If your’e from the south this is a MUST see!

Then I went with Wes and Travis, my friends that went with me to Roxx in Atlanta. We had the deep fried twinkie for dessert. OMG They were so good!

Note pics aren’t here, will post them soon

The end of an Era.. David Tennant

The end of an era happened this past weekend. David Tennant passed the torch over to Matt Smith on Doctor Who. David Tennant has been the Doctor since 2006. He’s has a lot of great shows and some of my favorite. I will say he’s become one of my favorite Doctors of all time. He was really amazing and I will miss him. I am however, extremely excited to see the new Doctor played by Matt Smith. I know he’s been called too young and even heard Doctor Twink. But, I think he’ll do great.

The show itself is changing, now that Russel T. Davies is leaving as well. As, you know when a show changes producers you can be totally screwed. But, I hears they were hanging it over to Stephen Mofat. Who, has been one of the writers of the show and many of my favorite episodes. I’m really excited to see what he does. They have filmed, most if not all the season for Matt Smith.

There is the trailer for this season, it looks fun although the last scene is the Doctor holding a gun, which he’s never been a proponent for, so that will be interesting. I am recording with Pat, Melanie and Walt soon on the last few shows. I will prob write more as well in the next few days.

Best and Worst of 2009

Here is my annual list of what I thought was great and what I didn’t think was so great!

Best of…

Hoot Suite – if you aren’t familiar with Hoot Suite it’s a site that you can update your facebook, twitter, Linked In and Facebook pages. It just makes your life easy! Its free and they now have an iPhone ap to use your iPhone to update your statuses.
Underwear News Briefs – Yes its back on my list. My underwear site, and it’s really done some great things this year. It has grown and kept my sanity this year. I”m so thankful for it. I’ts been fun, it had it’s ups and downs but so far, its going great. If you love underwear then you’ll love the site

Glee  – This is the best new show of the year. It’s so much fun to watch. I love that they use 80’s music, that I grew up on. Its one of the most well written tv shows around. I love Sue the best! Its just pure entertainment, how long it will last? who knows but I”m enjoying it as much as I can. Also, their version of Last Christmas is the best ever! well outside of Wham!

Watch What Happens Live – This is just a crazy show. It’s live TV at it’s best. I love Andy Cohen, but his drink of Ginger ale and I think burbon leaves something to be desired. He usually has the who’s who of Bravo, but he’s had others. The best has been Kristen Johnston, who was on third rock, did the botox acting. Its on Midnight on Thursdays, set your Tivo and watch it~

Snow Leopard – The new Mac OS was released, it made the computer go faster and gave me 10 GB of extra space. It came out and there have been very few bugs. I haven’t had any problems with it. It is way better and its not Windows!

Dr. Who regeneration – I”m so excited, this has been a year in the making, I have loved David Tennent as the Doctor, but glad we’re getting steady Doctor to carry on. I am not too sure about the first part of End of Time. But we’ll see, I am really getting back into the show and watching all the old ones. I wished someone played the old ones, such as Tom Baker, Peter Davidson, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy.

Uloric – The new gout drug I am on. It has made my knees and feet feel better. But it has played havoc on my hands. Which I”m dealing with, and they have denied my Patience Assistance program. But I’m hopefully it will change after my appeal. This is a great drug for me and gout.

Up! – This was my favorite movie of the year. I so am Mr. Frederickson. I know the first part is a downer but it cracked me up and I loved it. I hope they come out with another good movie this year.
George MIchael Concert DVD – This is something I have wanted since I saw him last July! This was one of the most Amazing concerts EVER. I got the Blueray version but don’t have a Blueray Player, yet. Its going to be AWESOME
Retrun of Basia – Basia is one of my all time favorites in music. I thought we had lost her forever. But out of the blue she released a new album. I am like YES. She is just fun, where else can you hear a Polish woman, who lives in England sing songs with Latin Beat.

Pet Shop Boys – The concert and the new album. Both rocked. Even though we had to sit through DJ Grinning Idiot. The new album has one of my favorite songs form them. It is All Over the World. Its amazing. Plus they redid their Xmas song this year!

Worst of…

Sarah Palin won’t go away – DAMN what do we have to do to get her to go away! I have no clue but I’m so tired of her. She’s annoying, a pain then ass and a fucktard. Like she ever went Rogue.
Oprah Quitting – Ok I”m so upset over this, I LOVE Oprah and yes she’s been crazy at times and does some things but now there will be life without Oprah. The last time that happened was before 1984. I remember those days. Oprah just gave so much to the culture. I hear she will have a show on her new network. So, we won’t miss her totally
Podcast quitting – Where do I begin? This was the year of podcsasters quitting. I would name them but there are way too many to mention. But on a good note it let me cut back on podcast listening and not feel guilty about it!  I haven’t quit, although the iTunes is trying to make me!
Taylor Swift -Granted I have nothing personally aginst her. I think what she has done with her career is amazing but I just don’t care for her music. And, she better thank Kanye West every day for the VMA’s and that brought her to where she is. That is how I think she won the CMA’s and is where she is. But I heard her version of Last Christmas and I have to say Please don’t sing.
Jackson Family – Mark my words, there will be no Graceland type of memorial to Michael Jackson. The reason the family is too greedy to do it and are all trying to get something out of the name of Michael Jackson. The only one I would say wouldn’t would be Janet. The rest are like vultures. They want what they can get. Its a shame, yes Michael was tallented and it was a tragic death, but they should honor him and not make a reality show to get money. The only way they got it was because of his death. Had he not died they would never been offered a show.
Flooding and Rain – Yes, sorry Vera, the rain has got to go. In  September we had too much rain and the floods started. Now when we have massive rain, or even if we had an inch of rain we still have flooding. It sucks
Tiger Woods – Who cares, I think enough has been said! I DON”T CARE who he f*cked

Economy – It still sucks and sucks bad, but it shows signs of improving. Let’s hope so i’m tired of hearing about it! I”m really ready for a new sign of things to come that are better.
Unemployment – A year of unemployment sucks. IT SUCKS, did I say it sucks. I had plenty of interviews but no job offers the number of people looking for jobs is incredible and there is so much competition. I hope and feel i will be gainfully employed early 2010

Carrie Prejean – What a douche bag. I’m ok with her answer about Gay Marriage, I didn’t expect less from her, but a little advice, If you plan to do a sex tape, even if its a solo one, i.e. masterbation, don’t show your face. Also, don’t go around bad mouthing people for making sex tapes when you have one. America can deal with someone who stand up for what they believe but they will drop you like a bad habit for being a hypocrite.

New Moon – Twilight – OMG I’m so over this, and the whole phenomenon. I can’t take it any more. I also don’t get the whole James Patterson. He’s note cute, the hair looks like a birds nest and he looks like a dork, and not in the good way I like. I get the whole Taylor part, he’s awesome but the story is stupid and as one of my friends said and its a female so I can repeat it, its a movie for people who can’t get dates.
